Meet Our Optometric Team in Pell City
Doctor Bedsole was educated at the UAB School of Optometry at the UAB Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. After receiving his O.D. degree, he served as an Optometrist and a designated Naval Aviator in the United States Navy, until he opened his private practice in 1990 in Pell City. Doctor Bedsole is a past-president of the Pell City Rotary Club. Doctor Bedsole
completed military service in the Air Force Reserves at the 908th Air Wing, Maxwell Air Force Base.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Alabama Optometric Association, and Armed Forces Optometric Society.
Doctor Bedsole is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
He and his wife Pamela have two children, Anna and Jim.
Dr. Lawrence is a native of Trussville, Alabama. She has had an interest in eyes since she received her first pair of glasses at the age of four and had eye muscle surgery at the age of five.
She completed her undergraduate education at Birmingham-Southern College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music.
She received her optometric education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry.
After graduating optometry school, Dr. Lawrence joined a busy private practice in Prattville, Alabama where she practiced for eight years before she returned home to the Birmingham area and joined Bedsole Eye Care.
Dr. Lawrence is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Alabama Optometric Association (ALOA). She has served as Zone President for the East Central Optometric Zone and currently serves on the board of directors for the Alabama Optometric Association.
Dr. Lawrence is an accomplished flutist. She enjoys making and listening to music. She loves spending time with her husband Blake, their two dogs and family.
